GENDER EQUALITY

Equal Tales

Fairy tales are the most important elements affecting the development of children. When we examined fairy tales, we often encountered gender inequality and unscientific superstitions. As Enkatech, we aimed to draw attention to gender inequality in fairy tales and to eliminate this inequality and to include scientificity. For this, we both revised existing fairy tales and wrote a new fairy tale.

Famous Women Scientists

We draw attention to gender equality in the STEM field with the “Famous Women of Science” posts we publish every three weeks on our Instagram account. In this project, we aim to draw attention to the presence and achievements of women in STEM fields, to help women discover their potential in STEM fields and to encourage them. We featured the first and successful women of science such as Marie Curie, Jale Inan, Barbara McClintock and Nuriye Erdem.

EnkaTalks Webinar

Enkatech is a team that values gender equality in its work and includes women in many of its activities. For them, gender does not make a difference in their work. And according to our team, this should be the case for everyone. For this purpose, our pr department organized online webinars with career businesswomen in our country, we also broadcasted live on our YouTube account and shared it as a podcast on Spotify to reach more people. The information we learned during the webinars was very valuable to us and it was a very productive event for all of us.

"BeingTheVoice" Challange

In order to draw attention to the increasing rate of violence against women in our country, we prepared a black post and an effective statement on November 25th, the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. We contacted FRC teams and asked them to share the same post on their social media and support us. 18 FRC teams participated in our #beingthevoice challenge, which we launched to be the voice of women and raise awareness.

Article in School Magazine

We aimed to draw attention and raise awareness about gender inequality in the field of automation. We prepared an article in our school magazine about the gender inequality we face in the field of automation and engineering and about gender equality in FRC and our team. We reached approximately 600 people with our article, which we shared with students on our school website and in print in the school magazine.
